Ingredients
- 270g whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 170ml water
Instructions
- Add whole wheat flour to a large bowl.
- Add vegetable oil to whole wheat flour and mix.
- Add warm water a little at a time, and mix well. We used 78, 33, 41, and 18 ml increments.
- Knead dough until smooth using your knuckles. Do not overknead or it will be tough.
- Cover dough with damp paper towel for at least an hour.
- Separate dough into 12 equal pieces and roll them into flat circles.
- Heat cast iron skillet until it is HOT. Have open flame ready.
- Put dough on cast iron for 10-15 seconds until it is starting to bubble.
- Flip on cast iron and leave for 10-15 seconds.
- Flip onto the open flame (original side down first)
- After it puffs and chars, flip to the other side.
- Take off the flame and serve immediately
